Most sessions take just 10–15 minutes. Live Scan results are submitted electronically and typically processed by your agency within 24–72 hours.
Live Scan is digital and inkless — fingerprints are captured electronically and submitted same day. Ink prints use traditional FD-258 cards that are physically submitted. Your agency will specify which they require.
Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID — driver's license, state ID, or passport. It must be current and not expired.
